We buy gold jewellery in any condition and pay you for the gold it contains, at the price for its carat.
What jewellery we buy
- Rings and wedding rings, engraved ones too.
- Chains, necklaces, bracelets and bangles, even broken or tangled.
- Earrings, even if you only have one.
- Pendants, medals and brooches.
- White, yellow and rose gold: all three are paid by carat.
What do 750, 585 and 375 mean on jewellery?
750 means 18ct (75% pure gold), 585 is 14ct and 375 is 9ct: the number gives the parts per thousand of gold in the piece.
It is usually on the clasp or inside the ring. 916 is 22ctES (in Spanish). ‘GF’, ‘GP’, ‘RGP’ or ‘plated’ mean another metal with a layer of gold, which is not paid at the table price. No stamp? Bring it in: we test the purity in the shop.
Stones, pearls and other parts
We pay for the gold by its weight: stones, pearls, enamel and parts that are not gold are not counted. You do not need to take anything apart.
If a piece may be worth more than its gold, for its stones, its designer name or its age, tell us before the valuation.
What your jewellery is worth
The calculation is grams of gold × price per gram for its carat. An 18ct wedding ring is paid by its weight at the current 18ct price.
The final amount is confirmed in the shop, after we weigh it and test the purity in front of you.
How the sale works
Bring your jewellery and a valid ID: DNI, NIE/TIE or passport. We weigh and test it in front of you and you are paid on the spot: by bank transfer, or in cash if the amount is under €1,000. Full details: sell gold in Barcelona.
Questions about selling gold jewellery
Do you buy broken jewellery or a single earring?
Yes. We pay for the gold, so it does not matter if the piece is broken, incomplete or missing its pair.
Is an engraved wedding ring worth less?
No. Engraving does not change the weight or the purity, so it does not affect the gold price.
Is white gold paid the same as yellow gold?
White gold and rose gold are alloys of gold with other metals. They are paid by carat, the same as yellow gold of the same purity.
Do you buy costume jewellery or silver jewellery?
Costume jewellery has no value as precious metal. We do buy silver jewellery: see Sell silver in Barcelona.
